Description

First steps are easier with the Safety 1st Ready, Set, Walk! Developmental Walker. Your little one can stretch their legs while being entertained with developmental activities, sounds, and lights. The three-position height adjustment offers the right height and fit to encourage first steps and develop motor skills. This baby walker supports your child with an extra-wide base that makes it easier to stay upright. This feature-rich child walker provides multiple developmental activities and 12 different songs designed to amuse and delight while stimulating baby’s visual and auditory senses. The tray is great for snack time and the walker features a machine-washable seat pad. No need to worry about snack time messes when it’s so easy to wash them away. The walker nests easily into a compact shape for storage or trips away from home. With a weight range up to 30 pounds, it’s an excellent option for babies getting ready to walk.

Safety 1st believes parenting should have fewer worries and more joyful moments. As the first and only leader in child safety, Safety 1st is here to give you peace of mind so you can spend less time worrying and more time enjoying every first you experience with your child.

Some parents saying about this product
What’s more important, price or quality? I bought my daughter Joovy Spoon Walker, Charcoal several years ago, and then bought her another one when she had twins. Hands down, we still think Joovy is the best made walker on the market—it has a big no-nonsense tray, moves very well on all flooring and has a safe wide base. There’s many reasons to like it, but price is not one of them.As a grandma, I also need something for the twins to cruise around in when they’re at our house. This is a good alternative for people like me who want a reliable walker, but don’t want to spend an arm and a leg. I do notice a difference in quality, but does it really matter? Kids are in these things for a matter of months. The Safety 1st walker serves its purpose well for the small amount of time it gets used, it’s very safe and generally I’m happy with it. There are some things I like and dislike, but for the price, those issues are easy to live with.I do like the three height levels, and its ability to fold compactly when storing or traveling. The downside is the plastic locking tabs needed to do those things are not that easy to work with. We seldom make height changes or fold it up, so it’s not much of a problem, but people who do will not appreciate how hard it is to push in and manipulate the tabs. I’ve included pictures of the plastic tab and the inserts they fit into for height adjustment and folding. It’s easier to adjust height than it is to completely fold the walker up.I do like the interactive toys, and the fact the bar can be removed from the tray. Again, this is not the easiest task to do—I have to start the process by using a flat-blade screwdriver to pry underneath one of the connection points, and then the rest of the toy bar lifts up more readily. The middle sound and light button runs on batteries, but unfortunately they are not replaceable. Once it dies, that feature is gone forever. Pictures are included to show how the bar tabs fit into the tray holes. This walker definitely works better on hardwood floors and tile than on carpet, and I think that is because there are six gripper strips running along the bottom of the walker. Nowadays, safety comes first and this company is living up to its name. The strips help stop and slow down baby’s mobility, but even more so on carpeting. I’ve included a picture showing the six strips running around the walker bottom. Our babies are just now using the walker, and they are five months old—feet barely touch the floor, but they very much enjoy sitting up and watching life go by. We love holding the twins, but not every second. The seat is an adorable pattern and machine washable. Weight limit is 30 lbs. I think baby walkers are godsends. While Safety 1st isn’t my favorite in terms of quality, it’s certainly more reasonably priced and does everything a walker is supposed to. I can buy two of these for the price of one Joovy, and the babies love being in their Safety 1st walkers just as much, if not more. It pays to shop around at big box stores for the cheapest price of Safety 1st walkers—they cost around $40 locally.

Perfect little walker! My 6 month old loves it. It was super simple to assemble (took 5 minutes) and it takes up much less space than I was expecting - less than his exersaucer, for example. It is very easy to adjust the height. My boy is 28.5 inches, 95th percentile for his age and he is on the second setting out of three. This says it works for babies up to 32 inches so I figure it should work for several more months. It moves pretty well over hardwood floors. We haven't tried it over carpet. The toy bar is simple but great! My baby loves the toys! And bonus! It comes with batteries! The little wheel in the center lights up and plays music. The music is pleasant and isn't ridiculously loud. Over all I'm very happy wth my purchase and am glad I didn't spend the big bucks on something else.

The problems with this thing:1 - It came dirty out of the box.2 - It is held together with a bunch of ill-fitting plastic clips. We'll see if this thing can actually stand up to the rigors of being played with by a baby.3 - The batteries are not user-replaceable. You have to call some 800 number to ask for a replacement module that contains the batteries. Who knows if they will charge for it.

Seven month old twins. Very active. Perfect for helping them gain strength and confidence. Also a safe place for them. Contained and safe, but able to exercise at the same time. Room to grow!

Material was good, structure was easy to put together, but seat took a lot of time to insert. Used plyers to pull the tab. But quality and price is good.
